Georgia State Conference NAACP Press Conference

On Thursday, December 8, 2011, at 11:30 a.m., the Georgia State Conference NAACP will hold a Press Conference on the steps of the Capitol to announce plans for its upcoming rally calling for the end of the death penalty in Georgia.

Our rally cry is “Execute the Death Penalty!” Our own President, Mr. Edward O. Dubose will share details about this and other initiatives to end the death penalty in Georgia. Several other state, local and community leaders have been invited to speak.

It is important to show strength in numbers and unity. We hope you will attend and encourage other NAACP Branch units to do the same. We will assemble on Washington Street, near the main entrance of the State Capitol Building.

This press conference and upcoming rally is an opportunity to honor the life and sacrifice of Troy Davis and work to correct the unjust system that mercilessly took his life.

Please contact me at 281-706-1600 or sbrownattorneyatlaw@yahoo.com to RSVP by Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., and feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thank for your support.

Sincerely,
Sheila D. Brown
