Georgia State Conference NAACP 69th Annual Convention

The Georgia State Conference NAACP is hosting it's 69th Annual Convention, on Thursday, September 29 - October 2, 2011 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, 265 Peachtree Center Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.

Our theme for this year's Convention is "Affirming America's Promise." This theme implies how there is still a need to come together to strategize on ways to ensure the American dream. This year being the 102d Anniversary of the NAACP, in the midst of challenge and transition in the life of the NAACP, we still remain one of the few organizations in the country dedicated to ensuring equality and social justice for all people. This is especially appropriate in describing our traditional and continuing role as an advocacy organization.
