The U.S. Census Bureau continues to release Redistricting Data at the local, State levels to go along with the December 21, 2010 release showing the resident population of the United States on April 1, 2010, at 308,745,538.
The Redistricting Data satisfying P.L. 94-171, is being made available via FTP download, along with being posted to the New American FactFinder and the all new interactive state map format!
This first release of Census 2010 data also consisted of population totals for the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the states; the number of seats apportioned to each state in the U.S. House of Representatives was also a part of the early release.
The Atlanta Partnership and Data Services Program Specialists will continue to be heavily involved in Census Data Dissemination in 2011, especially with the upcoming releases of Census 2010 data.
Along with releases of various data sets of the American Community Survey, these data will help shape the nation in the years to come. If you are interested in learning more about these, or any Census data sets, please feel free to contact us (direct contact information located below signature line) with more on when you may be available to attend and/or host a Census Data Workshop, and what area would be most convenient, within the Atlanta Region.
